Marinated mushrooms have many usings in European cuisine. They are often consumed in the Eastern European culture alongside alcoholic beverages. Finely chopped marinated mushrooms are also a component of traditional tatar. In the English cuisine, they were added to stews consisting of meat, fowl, fish, and eggs, and in the Polish cuisine to venison, pork, beef, poultry, and roasts of various kind.
